Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. …your command will be obeyed. All that’s required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your heart. Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against…” Mark 11:22-25 (NLT)

This is a lesson on true faith in God. Prayer is powerful. It is the way faith in God is demonstrated. Several conditions are listed: to be sure we do not harbor unforgiveness in our hearts, to be in such communion with God that we pray against Satanic plans, effects, and devices, and that we pray in accordance with God’s commands and guidance. If we truly believe that nothing is impossible for God, we will pray with faith, and we will receive.

As Christians, we must daily search our hearts for unforgiveness. Then we must keep our eyes fixed on God and His power to do the impossible. We must refuse to listen to doubt from the enemy. We have been given authority over evil spirits and sickness. Somehow this reality must be translated to unshakeable faith in God so that we will believe with no doubt and thereby receive.

PRAYER: O most holy and powerful God, I come to You readily forgiving that I may be forgiven. Give me the faith I need to really believe and not doubt. I want to receive when I pray with authority over demon activity and sickness. Help me to be childlike in faith and a channel for Your power to be manifested.
